Miriam completed her Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where she developed a strong interest in data-driven methods. She deepened this focus during her Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Data Science and Medical Engineering at RWTH Aachen. Her studies were complemented by exchange semesters at EPFL and Politecnico di Milano, a student research assistant position in uncertainty estimation at the Chair of Process Systems Engineering, and an R&D internship at Fresenius Medical Care.
Since November 2025, she has been pursuing her PhD at STRIDE-Lab. The main goal of her research is supporting efficient and evidence-based decision making for clinicians by building a clinical trial systematic review platform. When she takes a break from NLP-driven clinical trial analysis, she can most likely be found in the next climbing gym or crag.
